Project Overview
CPL Building Services delivered boiler replacements at Bedford High School, covering the Science Block and Sports Hall.
The objective was to restore reliable heating performance and provide a compliant, well-documented installation aligned with Wigan Council’s mechanical performance requirements.
The Challenge
The site remained in full use outside the working area, so safety and continuity were critical. Works had to be planned to minimise disruption, with any tie-ins to existing services scheduled outside occupied hours where required.
Compliance with relevant gas safety, building regulations and CDM duties also sat front-and-centre throughout delivery.
Our Solution
We coordinated the complete mechanical package – from strip-out of redundant plant to installation, testing and commissioning – while maintaining safe access and clear site controls.
We followed structured commissioning and handover processes, providing clear “as installed” records, certificates and maintenance information to support ongoing operation and servicing.
