Domestic Water Services Replacement
St Cecilia’s RC High School, Longridge
Boiler replacements for a school science block and sports hall, delivered safely in a live environment with full commissioning.
Project Overview
CPL Building Services delivered a full domestic hot and cold water services replacement and associated remedial works at St Cecilia’s RC High School in Longridge, Preston.
The project focused on improving the reliability, safety and ongoing compliance of water services across the main school building.
The Challenge
This was a live school environment, so the programme had to protect day-to-day operations and maintain safety at all times.
The specification required works to be planned around out-of-hours periods, weekends and, where possible, school holidays to reduce disruption.
Legionella inspection information formed part of the project context, reinforcing the need for careful, compliant delivery.
Our Solution
We coordinated the design, strip-out and replacement of the domestic hot and cold water installations throughout the main building, integrating builderswork and electrical works in connection.
We managed isolations and tie-ins to suit the school’s requirements, then completed testing, commissioning and handover documentation for confidence in long-term operation.
Results
- More reliable and maintainable water services across the school
- Clearer compliance position, supported by structured testing and handover information
- Reduced disruption through planned out-of-hours working in an operational setting
